Why you need this course:
Understanding the conditions or situations that present the possibility of loss, how losses occur, and the consequences of loss, puts you in a better position to manage your clients’ personal loss exposures. With this course, you’ll learn how to use risk control and risk financing techniques to manage risks. You’ll also benefit from knowing how to analyze an insurance policy before a loss occurs in order to ensure that the policy adequately covers the loss exposures it is intended to address.

- Summarize the six steps of the risk management process
- Identify the risk control and risk financing techniques used by individuals and families
- Explain how personal insurance is used as a risk management technique
- Summarize the contents of the six common categories of policy provisions of a property-casualty insurance policy
- Describe the primary methods of insurance policy analysis
